ZAMMLER has confirmed the successful transition to the requirements of the new international standard in the field of labor protection

In February 2021, ZAMMLER GROUP – ZAMMLER UKRAINE LLC and ZAMMLER SKLAD LLC successfully passed the recertification audit and moved from the OHSAS 18001 requirements to the requirements of the international standard ISO 45001: 2018.

As a result of the audit, the ZAMMLER GROUP companies received new versions of certificates, which confirm that their operating systems fully comply with the requirements of the international standard “Health and Safety Management System”.

ISO 45001 is the first international  health and safety standard to offer a single and simple approach for organizations looking to improve health and safety and reduce workplace injuries.

The main difference between ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001 is that ISO 45001 focuses on the interaction between an organization and its business environment, while OHSAS 18001 focuses on occupational health and safety risk management. In addition, OHSAS 18001 is procedure-based and only considers risks, while ISO 45001 addresses both risks and opportunities and is process-based. That is, in the new standard, labor protection is considered as part of the prospects for sustainable development of the entire organization.

ISO 45001: 2018 also provides for the implementation of a risk-based approach, continuous improvement to comply with the internal climate of the organization, accounting and compliance with the requirements of national legislation. All of this helps the company build its reputation as a “safe place to work”.

We also want to remind, that in the summer of 2020, the Polish representative office of the ZAMMLER group of logistics companies, ZAMMLER POLSKA Sp. z o.o. received TAPA TSR certification. This is an international standard for the safety of cargo transportation, which provides for a number of requirements for the movement of goods by road. The presence of this certificate indicates that the logistics provider has complied with all security measures provided for by the standard to ensure the safety of goods from outside interference, including from mechanical and thermal effects.
