Information Systems Analyst

What you will be doing:

  • Gathering, analysing and formalising business requirements
  • Breaking requirements down into tasks for the development team
  • Describing business processes, user stories, use cases and functional requirements
  • Preparing technical assignments and specifications for development
  • Designing integrations between information systems:
  • describing APIs
  • developing data exchange structures (JSON/XML)
  • working through interaction scenarios and error handling
  • Setting up and managing tasks in the task tracker, and monitoring the completeness and quality of requirements
  • Working with developers, testers and business stakeholders at every stage of implementation
  • Taking part in developing architectural solutions and discussing implementation options
  • Taking part in testing the implemented functionality and carrying out user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Keeping documentation up to date and recording the decisions taken

What we look for in candidates:

  • 2–3 years or more of experience as a systems analyst or system / business analyst
  • Experience in gathering requirements from the business and taking tasks through to implementation
  • Experience in preparing user stories / use cases and technical assignments / specifications
  • A basic understanding of integrations: REST API, data formats (JSON)
  • Experience in testing and accepting tasks
  • The ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and developers
